Drugs Awareness

We are very grateful to PC Carolyn McGuigan and PC Andrew Pidding (who work in the Youth Engagement Team in Ealing) for spending the morning with our Year 6 students, talking about drug awareness. This is the first of 3 visits from our local police officers, in which the theme of staying safe is being explored. Today, the children looked at the consequences of both legal, illegal as well as medicinal drugs and considered the impact of good and bad choices. The children really enjoyed the talk and discussion and afterwards had lots of positive commetns to share:

‘The police officer was so friendly and we got to ask any questions which was really helpful.’

‘It was good to hear an expert talking about these things.”

‘I am glad the police visited because they made us think about who gets affected by bad choices.’
