10 Feb Evolution and Inheritance
As part of their Science unit on Evolution and Inheritance, Year 6 pupils have explored how different bird beaks have adapted to suit their environments. Through hands-on investigations, they used everyday tools to mimic various beak shapes and tested their effectiveness in gathering food such as seeds, water and small fruits.

This engaging activity helped pupils understand how adaptations support survival and sparked discussions about evolution and habitats. It was a fantastic opportunity for curious minds to connect science to the natural world!
