03 Jul 5HN and 5LY Residential
We have had a fantastic start to the 5LY and 5HN residential. As usual, the children are making their teachers proud with their personal organisational skills and independence. Their soft toys and cuddlies are appreciating the well made beds, tidy rooms and organised cabins!
The children have shown so much enthusiasm and confidence as they have begun their rotation of activities; they have overcome their fears on the climbing wall and abseiling tower, learned new knots and team work in buggy building and raft building, and developed their water confidence in the water team challenge.
The children are surprising themselves by their aptitude for new skills such as archery and we loved it when the Year 5 choir got up to lead everyone in singing at the campfire last night!
We are all looking forward to the rest of the residential and the children can’t wait to share all their stories with you when they get back to school tomorrow afternoon. A huge thank you to all our staff who have taken Year 5 away this week; thank you for giving up your time, energy and sleep(!) to provide the children with such a memorable experience.
