Year 2 DT: Snowmen Puppet Fun!

Year 2 had a fantastic DT Day creating their very own snowman hand puppets. The children practised important sewing skills, learning how to do both a running stitch and an overstitch. They then put these skills into practice to carefully sew their puppets together as well as add accessories such as hats and bow ties.

As part of the project, Year 2 followed the full design process. They began by researching and exploring ideas, then designed their puppets, made them using their new sewing skills, and finally evaluated their finished creations. The results were creative, colourful, and full of character!
