Brilliant Beebots

Year One had a wonderful time this week exploring programming and algorithms in computing. The children explored what an algorithm is and thought about where they might see algorithms in real life and at home. Together they experimented with Beebots before designing a simple algorithm to direct the Beebot around the classroom. Lots of fun and giggling happened as the Beebots followed the children’s instructions and inevitably crashed into things! After this the children explored how to de-bug an algorithm after encountering a problem (like crashing) and learned how to reprogramme in another correct set of instructions. Well done Year one!
