17 Sep New CTS House Captains
What a successful start to the term we are having! Last week, Year 6 were asked to prepare a short video speech in order to be considered for the very important role of House Captain. We ended up with almost 50 incredible candidates and some very special videos and speeches.
The children at Christ the Saviour once again took an active interest in democracy as part of this year’s House Captain Elections. Every day this week, students from Year 1 – 6 viewed a special electoral reel for each house’s candidates. Voters then chose two candidates whose speech impressed them. These votes were counted and winners announced during Friday’s Celebration Collective Worship. During our worship we thanked God for all children who wanted to represent our school as a House Captain and prayed for our new House Captain’s success in the new school year.
We have been so proud to receive every speech from every child – the time, thought and effort which went into every video was astounding. It was a true pleasure for us to see so many aspirational learners upholding our school vision and eager to share their special gifts with the wider school community.
Congratulations to our new House Captain Team 2021/22 pictured above. We can’t wait to see your achievements this year!
You will notice that for only the second time in the history of our school, we appointed three blue house captains after the votes were exactly tied. How wonderful!
