07 Feb Year 4 Mosque Visit
Year 4 have been learning about Islam in their RE lessons this half term and thoroughly enjoyed the opprtunity to visit the West London Islamic Centre and mosque. The children were given the opportunity to use the washrooms, enter the prayer room and learn lots of interesting information about the Five Pillars of Islam.
The children were able to ask questions and speak to members of the Islamic faith and and find out more about life as a Muslim. They were able to make wonderful comparisons between the life of a Muslim and the life of a Christian.
Year 4 were exceptionally respectful whilst visiting a place of worship and showed great behaviour throughout the trip, making all the adults very proud! It was wonderful to have dry weather so we could walk to and from the mosque, making us all aware of how much different faiths are a part of our local community.
