In line with our school vision, we aim to be an inclusive organisation celebrating diversity and difference in all its forms.
At the heart of our teaching is a belief that all children are loved by God, each child is individually unique and the school has a mission to help each pupil to fulfil their potential. We have a duty to try to remove any factor that might represent a hindrance to a child reaching their potential. We want all pupils to engage in learning in a safe and welcoming ethos. All forms of bullying, including racist, homophobic, transphobic or sexist bullying can inhibit a pupil’s ability to feel safe and have a secure foundation for learning. We have a duty to put in measures to combat it and we work actively to ensure that every child can flourish free from prejudice and inequality.
We seek to find ways to foster and promote equality and to teach children about the impact of inequality. This is done during the school day through our daily collective worship, our PSHE curriculum, our pastoral care, our quality first teaching and through the reasonable adjustments we make to our provision and curriculum offer. Outside of regular school hours we work hard to promote positive opportunities for all families through our PTA and we have a wide ranging and extensive extra curricular offer.
