22 Jan Creativity for Regulation
Naomi, our dramatherapist who has experience working in CAMHS and private practice, hosted a parent coffee afternoon on the Grove Site on Monday. The session explored how children’s brains develop and how creativity can support emotional regulation. Naomi shared how creative play, movement, and expression can help children manage big feelings, calm their bodies, and build self-regulation skills. Practical, accessible strategies were shared that can be easily used at home to support children during times of emotional overwhelm. Please find the slides from the session below:

Monday 2nd February 2pm: Creativity for Connection
This session focuses on how creative play can strengthen relationships and support children’s ability to connect with others. We will explore how shared creativity helps build trust, emotional safety, and secure connections between children and the adults who care for them. The session will highlight how playful, creative interactions can support attachment and deepen relational bonds.
Monday 2nd March 2pm: Creativity for Problem Solving
This session explores how creative play supports children’s ability to reflect, think flexibly, and solve problems. Parents will learn how imaginative and innovative approaches can help children develop curiosity, resilience, and confidence as they navigate challenges. Practical ideas will be shared to support children in developing problem-solving skills through play and creativity.
