People Who Help Us

During our “People Who Help Us” topic, our Reception children were fortunate to welcome several visitors from our local community. These visits helped the children understand the important roles people play in helping and caring for others.

We met a nurse, midwife, and doctor, who talked about keeping people healthy and caring for babies and families. The children enjoyed learning about medical equipment and asking lots of curious questions.

A visit from a firefighter taught the children about fire safety and how firefighters help in emergencies. Meeting police officers also helped the children learn about staying safe and how the police support our community.

These experiences brought our learning to life and helped the children develop appreciation for the people who help us every day. We want to say a huge thank you to all our visitors!
