Brilliant Bakers

Last week, Year 5 completed a DT project where we learned all about bread. We tasted and analysed different breads, thinking about the taste, texture, smell and appearance.

We used this information to help us with planning our own designs, considering how we wanted our own bread to look and taste. We also practised kneading and shaping with salt dough and challenged ourselves with some really complex designs!

On Friday, we created our final bread products and spent time working in groups to make the dough before kneading, resting and shaping our final products. Everyone declared their bread to be absolutely delicious! We were so impressed with some of the children’s designs and finished products , there are definitely some star bakers in Year 5!
