Baking Bread

In Year 5, the children have been learning all about the process of bread making in Design Technology. They have tasted bread and judged different breads on their taste, texture, smell and appearance.

The children then practised kneading bread and shaping bread using salt dough. They then planned how they would want their bread to look and how they wanted it to taste. Finally, the children made bread from scratch, including an ingredient of their choice. The results were creative and tasty! Thank you to our parent volunteers who came into to help with the messy part of the day – Year 5 we hope you all enjoy sharing your breads with your families tonight!
