National Day of Reflection

On this day of reflection as we mark the first anniversary of the national lockdown, we  pray for our school community, remembering those who have died with hope that God’s love will surround all who are grieving.

God of compassion and healing,

as we reflect on all the changes of this year,

may we trust that you are always with us.

As Jesus your son walked the way of the Cross,

may we know that you walk with us,

especially when we are sad, lonely or in pain.

As we remember those who have died,

may we know that they are at peace with you,

who raised your Son from the dead.

As we look to an uncertain future,

may we have hope in our hearts

knowing that you are with us always.

We make our prayer in the name of Jesus,

our crucified, risen and glorified Saviour.
