Chicks Hatch in Year 5

We have some very EGGciting news in Year 5!

Last week, we had a very special delivery of 19 chick eggs. Over the last week we have watched all 19 hatch and grow into little baby chicks. In science we have been looking at life cycles. Did you know that it takes roughly 21 days from the point of fertilisation for a chick to hatch? The Year 5 children have taken great responsibility in ensuring the chicks are well looked after: fed, watered, cleaned and socialised.

We will be sad to see them go on Friday but know they are going to a great life on the farm.
