07 Jun Science Day
Just before half term, CTS pupils participated in a whole school Science day themed around careers in science. The day was kicked off by a spectacular assembly led by a CTS parent, Dr.Power, who amazed pupils with his story about how he got hooked into science by setting fire to lots of different materials, including bubbles! He even mixing two liquids to make a light! After the assembly, pupils returned to their year groups where they participated in a carousel of activities led by their teachers and parents in the STEM community. Thanks to the parent volunteers, pupils learnt; how maths can solve crimes; created a real concrete bridge; made a laser show; built terrific towers; and much much more. It was excellent seeing pupils across the school so engaged in the diversity of science careers and seeing the many options that they have in their future.
A massive thank you to Ms Gold, our science lead who co-ordinated the day, and to all our talented STEM parents who gave their time and inspired our pupils.
