Digital Democracy

We have had an exciting end to the week with democracy in action as our House Captain elections have taken place. Fifty eight different Year 6 candidates wrote speeches, made posters and practised their delivery in preparation for the elections yesterday and today. Pupils in each house gathered together to listen to all the candidates before casting their votes digitally on Chromebooks, helped by some of our Year 6s. In total over 1200 votes were cast!

We are so proud of all our Year 6 candidates; their creativity, courage and confidence were inspirational and we are sorry that there can only be two winners for each house! Our new house captains will be announced next week.
