23 Nov Football Festival
We were delighted to take a group of Year 3 and 4 girls to a football festival last week. Held at Northolt High School, the festival invited girls from all over the borough to come and take part in a series of football challenges that aimed to develop their skills and teach them about the game.
There was a lot of excitement about wearing football socks and shin pads and the girls thoroughly enjoyed rotating around the eight activities which included the ‘Great Escape’, a numbers game and match play.
The football festival focused on the school games value of ‘self belief’ and encouraged all the participants to have the confidence to try new skills and to remain resilient. All the girls who took part acquitted themselves brilliantly, impressing Mr Chalmers with their enthusiam and commitment. Well done girls!
