21 Mar World Down Syndrome Awareness Day
This week we celebrated World Down Syndrome Awareness Day, which took place on Tuesday 21st March. The theme this year was, ‘With Us, Not For Us.’ This is because people with disabilities have the right to be treated fairly and have the same opportunities as everyone else, working with others to improve their lives. We wanted to spread the message that we’re more alike than different!
To mark World Down Syndrome Awareness Day children from Nursery to Year 6 came to school in odd socks to remind us all that being different is something to celebrate. We had some fantastic combinations: colourful, patterned, plain and even fluffy! Maybe you can recognise your feet below? Which are your favourite?
