21 Apr International Day in Reception
In Reception we had a wonderful day celebrating our rich and diverse community with an International Day.
Children and staff dressed up to represent countries from around the world that are special to them, wearing either traditional clothing or in the colours of their flags. Throughout the day, we took part in lots of different activities such as tasting traditional foods from Africa and India and having a traditional tale read to us by parents in their home languages. An extra special part of the day was when we were treated to Miss Breen playing some traditional Irish songs on the Viola. She taught us new things about Northern Ireland and some traditional songs included lyrics in Gaelic.
We had such a fantastic time!
