C of E School Choir’s Project

We are delighted that our Year 5 choir were invited to travel to Bishop Ramsey School in Ruislip on Thursday 16th November to take part in an all-day workshop with children from six other Church of England schools in the Willesden episcopal area. The children enjoyed an inspiring and energising day of singing led by members of the London Community Gospel Choir, Tenebrae chamber choir and William Bruce, music outreach fellow from St Paul’s Cathedral.

The combined choirs learned new music ranging from Najavo folk music to contemporary gospel and began rehearsing the anthem they will perform together under the dome of St Paul’s Cathedral in next year’s LDBS celebration service in February, which will feature a choir of over 350 children.

It was an absolutely fantastic day which was hugely enjoyed by the Year 5 choir and all our parent helpers. Thank you to everyone who made it possible for our children to have such an inspiring and unique musical experience!
