Athletics Gold!

Do enjoy reading the report below written by the team who attended the interschool indoor athletics tournament last week:

On Thursday the 23rd of November 2023, a group of Year 6s and one Year 5 student went to Greenford High School Sports centre. There were many schools taking part in this competition, these included: St. Gregorys, Hobbayne Primary, and Holy Family.

We began with a strong start, whilst competing in our jumps and throws, then followed by an even stronger finish in the relay races. These relay races included many obstacles such as: the hurdles, the shuttle jump and the over and under bridge.

Well Done to the chosen athletes and a special thank you to Coach Chalmers and a massive thank you to the parent volunteers that made this trip possible (also thank you to the lucky baton that carried us through the tournament!) Thank you also to all the Willow Tree teachers that helped us to take part in this tournament and that made the tournament run so well and safely.

In conclusion, CTS came home with gold medals, which we all are very proud of!
