01 Dec ‘A Christmas Carol’ for Year 6
Last week, Year 6 went to see an adaptation of this term’s class text ‘A Christmas Carol’ at the New Theatre Wimbledon. It was great to hear the book come alive on the stage and to join in with Scrooge’s infamous line: “Christmas! Bah humbug.” A favourite character was Bob Cratchitt who tolerated the miserly Scrooge with such good grace!
As the curtain went down we even celebrated the book’s 180 years anniversary with an audience sing-a-long to We Wish You A Merry Christmas!
Well done Year 6 for such exemplary behaviour on the journey to and from the theatre; members of the public commented on your lovely manners so thank you for being such positive ambassadors for the school !
