11 Nov Be Bright, Be Seen
As part of our Road Safety week last week we all enjoyed our ‘Be Bright, Be Seen’ non uniform day. We know at this time of year as the evenings draw in, many children and families are travelling to and from school in the dark. It is often difficult for drivers to see pedestrians if they are wearing dark clothing; wearing lighter and brighter colours can help us stay safe as we travel to and from school. It was fantastic to see the bright tops, fluorescent vests and glowing socks and trainers that everyone wore on Friday.
As well as wearing bright and fluoresecent colours, reflective materials can help us be seen as the headlights from traffic are bounced back by the reflectors. Thanks to the generosity of our PTA, every pupil in the school was able to choose some reflective stickers to decorate their school bag or book bag. So now everyone can Be Bright, Be Seen and Be safe!
