Exploring Toys from the Past

Year One had a wonderful time welcoming the Freshwater Theatre Company into our history lessons. We have been exploring toys in the past and it was really interesting to learn about toys that our grandparents may have played with. We had lots of questions to ask and got to hear all about how the toys were made. The best bit was definitely playing with the toys, which we all handled so carefully. Using historical artefacts really helped to embed our learning about toys in the past, as well as inspire us to compare what modern toys look like against older toys.
