Fantastic Football

This week we sent a team of Year 3 and 4 girls to a local football tournament. It was a very cold day but the girls were amazing, making a great start with a 4-0 win against Clifford Primary School. The football pitches were really muddy and wet but the girls showed incredible strength and courage to play some really good football. In their second game against the hosts, St Gregory’s, the CtS team went from strength to strength and achieved an impressive 5-1 victory. This was followed by a 2-0 win against St Vincent’s to secure top spot in the tournament! The girls began their celebrations – which were promptly cut short by a sudden down pour of hail stones!

Coach Bilal, who took the team to the tournament, was incredibly impressed and very proud of how well the girls played together as a team. We are looking forward to seeing how the girls will get on in the next round of the competition in February.
