HM Queen Elizabeth II 1926 – 2022

It is with profound sadness that we join communities around the world in mourning the death of Her Late Majesty The Queen and giving thanks for her remarkable life of  service. Our prayers at school this week have been with The King and the Royal Family. 

During our collective worship and in our Global Learning lessons, we have reflected on the late Queen’s 70 years of service and the many ways she used her gifts of compassion, hope and humility in her service to God and to people around the world. The late Queen was an inspirational example of someone living out our  school scripture verse:

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others” 

1 Peter Ch 4:10

The sad news of the death of Her Late Majesty The Queen will affect us all differently. We are especially mindful of children’s own experiences of death and bereavement and teachers have been sensitive to this when teaching in classes this week. 

School remains open to all pupils as usual, with the exception of Monday, 19th September when school will be closed for a national Bank Holiday.
