Indoor Athletics for Year 3 and 4

On Thursday, twenty four children from Year 3 and Year 4 travelled to Greenford High School to participate in the indoor athletics competition. This was a new experience for many of our children who previoulsy have only focused on outdoor athletics events.

All of the children set about the field events with great enthusiasm, taking part in six different events which consisted of the chest push, the speed bounce, the vertical jump, the javelin throw, the standing long jump and the five strides. Next up were the races, and with a lively atmosphere inside the hall, the children did a great job of completing the tricky track events.

It was a great morning of teamwork and when all the team totals were added up one of our teams came away with medals! Well done to all the children involved in such a  fantastic, sporting day out!
