Jubilee Mass

We started our celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with a special Mass for all Broadway Site staff and pupils on the last day before our half term holiday. It was an enjoyable and memorable Mass with lots of pupil participation. Rena in Year 6 started the service with a solo of the first verse of God Save the Queen, followed by a procession of the Altar party including Father Richard and our Year 6 servers. Our Year 3 and Year 6 choirs joined together for this special service and their voices complemented each other beautifully, particularly with their communion motet, ‘I will sing a song of love’. Pupils from 3JK confidently read prayers and delivered the first Bible reading. As usual, all pupils sang heartily during the service and enjoyed the different hymns including our school anthem, ‘Christ Triumphant’. 

Children returned to their classrooms for a very special jubilee cake baked by our fantastic catering team!
