29 May Learning a New Sport
Just before half term, twenty Year 4 children went to a Tri-Golf Festival at Brent Valley Golf Club… to try golf! We were very lucky to avoid the rain and the sun almost came out for us.
As we walked towards the area where the event was being held, the children were able to see what a real golf course looks like as they saw the greens, the holes, the flags and lots of bunkers.
The activities were led by older children who showed our teams what to do at each station. The activities required a range of skills such as chipping and putting and the children tried really hard to score as many points as possible with the unfamiliar equipment.
The School Games Value was respect and our children did this in spades – respect for each other, the equipment and the environment. Well done!
Our B team were also very pleased with the Silver medals that they came home with!
