Palm Sunday in Nursery

This week in Nursery, the children learned about Palm Sunday and the significance of Jesus’ journey into Jerusalem on a donkey, marking the beginning of Easter week.

The children had a wonderful time creating their own palm leaves and taking part in a special reenactment of this important event. With great excitement, they waved their palm leaves and joyfully shouted, “Hosanna, Hosanna, welcome Jesus!”

To make the experience even more meaningful, the children also laid down their coats, just as people did to welcome Jesus into Jerusalem. This hands-on activity helped them develop a lovely understanding of Palm Sunday and its importance within the Easter story.

The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and are now looking forward to the blessed Easter break.
