18 Mar Prom Praise 2026
Last night, thirty pupils from our Year 5 and Year 6 choir joined with 2000 other Primary School pupils from nealy 60 schools at Prom Praise. Mr MacMillan and our Prom Praise Choir have been rehearsing the songs and actions for nearly two months, and they were all so excited to sing them in the final performance in front of the huge audience of family and friends at the Royal Albert Hall.
This year the Prom Praise event told the story of the whole bible, from creation through to revelation, taking us on a journey that sought to answer the question: What were you made for? We travelled from Adam and Eve to John on the island of Patmos, taking in Noah, Moses, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, the prophets and of course the story of Jesus and his birth, ministry, crucifixion and resurrection. By the end of the journey the answer to the question had been found and was sung out by thousands of voices in the song: ‘We were made to worship you’
The emotional drama, the costumes and choreography and the sound of so many singing together, accompanyed by the All Souls Orchestra, made for a truly memorable evening. It was an honour and a joy to be there together – thank you parents for coming to support and to all the children for your wonderful and whole hearted participation.
