11 Feb Safer Internet Day, Tuesday 11th February

We applied our learning about wisdom as we marked safer internet week and children talked about how they use technology and the importance of using it in a safe and healthy way. Our Broadway Site digital leaders shared the following advice to pupils:
- Always use age appropriate apps
- Have a screen time limit every day if you are a regular user of technology
- Make sure parental controls are on
- Less screen time, more play time!
- 1 hour a day online is over 15 days online a year.
- Always tell an adult if you see something that makes you sad or uncomfortable!
Discussions in classrooms helped teachers understand more about the use of technology in their class. Key messages around online safety are reinforced through our PSHE and safeguarding curriculum throughout the year.
