Year 4 have just enjoyed exciting visits to Kew Gardens where we took part in an immersive experience, exploring the sights and smells of the rainforest plants located in one of Kew’s magnificent glasshouses. The children journeyed through the rainforest, observing and investigating rainforest products, discussing the importance of the rainforest in our everyday life and the lives of those who live within the rainforest. This is linked to our work we have done on the book The Great Kapok Tree. The weather was kind on both days, giving us a chance to explore the gardens further, visiting the Hive, the Children’s Garden and the Princess of Wales Conservatory.
