Pupils should complete daily reading, recording what they have read in their red reading diaries. Red reading diaries and reading books should be brought into school every day so that pupils can also read in school. Teachers will check red reading diaries on reading days; diaries should be signed by parents and contain at least four separate reading entries.
Spellings are set on a Wednesday and tested the following Wednesday each week. Pupils can use Edshed to help them practise their weekly spellings.
Maths homework is set weekly on LbQ, it is set on a Friday and should be completed by the following Friday each week. In addition, pupils can regularly use Times Tables Rock Stars to practice their Times tables, these are tested in school every Wednesday.
Science homework is bi-weekly and involves pupils completing a science investigation at home and recording it in their science homework books. Science homework is set on a Monday and collected in the following Monday. Details of the term’s Science homework can also be found on Google Classroom.
