25 May Plot 17 Spoken Word Performance
Today pupils at the Broadway site got to enjoy an outdoor spoken word performance from Plot 17 who visited our school with their mobile party to teach us all about how to care for our planet! Thank you to Hannah from Year 5 who wrote the report below to share the experience:
Today at the Broadway the children had an exceptional time filled with singing, dancing and lots of learning! Upon arrival, everyone received a wristband filled with seeds which can be planted, though this workshop was not just for those who have a garden. PLOT17 gave everyone opportunities – everyone can do their part! From solitary bees to making your own garden, PLOT17 was a huge enjoyment from start to finish.
We were taught about three principles – work together, make a garden, make music to play it. Did you know that music helps plants grow? The vibration helps them sprout and flourish – enabling them to be the best they can be!
We also understood how important bees are and how they impact our everyday lives. With bees’ lives at stake our lives are also at stake. Thanks PLOT17 for all you taught us!
