17 Mar Pupil Wellbeing – Be Creative
Pupil Wellbeing this term is focused on the NHS 5 steps to wellbeing which are:
– Connect
– Take notice
– Be active
– Give to others
– Keep learning
These are the five simple steps to help maintain and improve your wellbeing. Try to build these into your daily life as much as you can – think of them as your ‘five a day’ for wellbeing.
We have already focused on ‘Connect’ and ‘Be Active’. This week, we are focusing on ‘Keep Learning’ and encouraging our learners to try and learn new skills while they’re at home – learning isn’t just about the work you do at school. Miss Kim teaches the children how to tie dye t-shirts; Ms Lavelle shows us how to make your own play dough with just ingredients you have in the cupboard and Miss Goodman shows you how to write some beautiful calligraphy lettering, amongst other creative ideas. We would love to see the children learning some new skills at home and getting creative.
Next week, as we continue to celebrate being back together at school our focus will be on ‘Take Notice’ and recognising and regulating our emotions.
Please enjoy our third video around ‘Keep Learning’.
