5SD and 5WK Residential

We are so proud of 5WK and 5SD and the enthusiasm and resilience they showed yesterday as they completed their first activities under grey skies and in the drizzle! The children rose to the challenges of climbing, abseiling, orienteering, crate stacking and archery tag – they definitely minded the rain less than their teachers did! We were all rewarded when the sun came out at the end of the day and we got to enjoy a delicious dinner in the lake side dining room.

Today the Year 5s have a day filled with water activties; their team work skills are being put to the test as they build rafts, paddle canoes and even complete a mini-triathlon – running, swimming and then cycling the pedalos! Amazing work Year 5 – not only on the lake and in all the land based activities – but your well made beds, neatly lined up shoes and tidy cabins and pods show us your independence and wonderful personal organisation skills!
