Active Travel Week

Thank you to everyone for your fantastic participation in our ‘Active Travel Week’ last week. It was really encouraging to see children and families making an extra effort  to come to school in active and healthy ways.

Our school travel ambassadors did an excellent job in their assembly presentation of explaining to us all how the small actions that we each make can have a huge impact when we do them together as a school community. As an individual we are one, as a class we are 30, as a school we are 900 but as a school school community we are thousands!

Choosing to leave our cars at home or choosing to ‘Park and Stride’ eases traffic congestion around our school, reduces pollution and supports everyone in the family to get exercise and arrive at school alert and ready to learn.

Huge congratulations to all the children who collected five stickers on their ‘Active Travel’ bookmarks for being active on the way to school every day. Keep it up children!
