Reception Explore Perivale Woods

This half term Reception have been learning about different minibeasts so it only seemed right to make a visit to Perivale Woods. The children had such a fantastic time learning and exploring minibeasts in the woods. The children got to experience different activities throughout the day such as a minibeast hunt, meeting a slow worm and making a wormery – of course with real worms! They also got to meet a frog who was very excited and wanted to jump out of the bucket. The children were able to partake in meadow sweeping to see how many different bugs they could catch as well as pond dipping, where the children caught lots of tadpoles. Overall, with the sun on our side, the children had an amazing day with lots of fun! Thank you to all our parent helpers who made the wonderful trip possible.
