09 Mar Brilliant Basketball
We were delighted that six children from Year 6 were able to travel to Cardinal Wiseman to represent CtS in a mixed basketball tournament today.
The tournament involved 12 teams from across the borough who played each other in a group before moving through to finals. The format was 3 players per team on court, with either the first to score 15 points or the team with the most points after 10 minutes of match play winning the game. The games were played on an indoor half court, so were very quick and intense!
Our CtS players did superbly to win all five group stage matches, scoring plenty of points and producing some excellent defence as a team. Having qualifyed for the semi-final, CtS then faced St. Vincent’s, who they managed to defeat to gain a place in the final against Holy Family. Every CtS player managed to chip in with important contributions and played a part in a CtS victory. CtS have therefore qualified for the Borough Basketball finals, to be played after the Easter holidays. Congratulations to all involved!
