Athletics Borough Finals

Last week, twenty Year 5 and Year 6 children travelled to Featherstone High School in Southall to compete in the Indoor Athletics Borough Finals. CtS had qualified for this stage after our excellent win in the previous round in November.

There were 12 different disciplines, consisting of six field and six track events:
Standing long jump
Vertical jump
Standing triple jump
Soft javelin
Chest push
Speed bounce
4 x 1 lap relay
6 lap paarlauf
1 + 1 lap relay
2 + 2 lap relay
Obstacle course
Over and under race

With this being the Borough Finals, the standard of athletes across all the competing schools was particularly high, and we did not come away with medals. However, the CtS girls and boys did incredibly well to give their all in each event.
