01 Mar Lent Charity – Ealing Foodbank- donations welcomed 4-8 March
Foodbank Collection of Non – Perishable items
From 4-8 March we will be supporting Ealing Foodbank, as our whole school Lent Charity. Staff from the Foodbank have visited school and shared with pupils the valuable work they do in our local community, supporting families for short periods of time when they are most in need.
Next week we will be collecting non perishable food items at both Broadway and Grove sites on the gates at morning drop off. A list of the items that the Food Bank needs most at the moment is provided below. If you are able to, please do add a tin or two to your shop and send them into school next week. Thank you for all your support in helping our local community.
Items needed: all non- perishable
Breakfast Cereal – porridge not currently needed
Vegetarian Tinned Meals – curry, chilli, macaroni cheese etc.
Long Life Fruit Juice & Squash
UHT Milk – including soya milk,
Tinned Meat & Fish
Tinned Fruit & Vegetables- eg tomatoes
Savoury Biscuits & Crackers
Rice – 500g & 1kg packets
Pasta sauce
Ketchup
Tinned Rice Pudding & Custard
Chickpeas & Kidney Beans
Peanut Butter, Honey & Jam
Instant Coffee, Tea & Drinking Chocolate
Toiletries – hair shampoo, shower gel, hand soap, shaving foam & razors, deodorant, dental
Members of our school council visited the Foodbank to see where our donations would be stored and to find out more about this important support for families.
