30 Apr Mummies and More!
Our Year 3 children visited the Petrie Museum of Egyptian and Sudanese Archaeology as part of their History study of the Ancient Egyptians. In teams, the children explored the museum as researchers looking for evidence from a range of areas we have studied such as hieroglyphics and evidence of artefacts Ancient Egyptians would use in their daily life.
It was so exciting to be able to see objects that were thousands of years old and that had been touched by the hands of the ancient Egyptians themselves! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the field trip and the children were keen to discuss their findings on return to school. Thank you to our parent helpers who came to support on the trip – we couldn’t have done it without you.
