21 Sep Year 1 History
This term Year One children are thoroughly enjoying learning about Toys in the Past, from wooden train sets and ragdolls to remote control cars and electronic devices. The children have enjoyed learning about the different materials the toys were made out of and the different games children played in the past. They were surprised to learn that some toys have been around for over 60 years!
To support this learning, parents and grandparents were invited to come and share with Year 1 toys that they played with when they were younger. Children were delighted to welcome in parents who generously gave up their time to come and share a range of toys. They were able to reflect on how these toys were different to the toys they play with now. It was a wonderful learnng experience – thank you so much everyone!
