21 Nov Super Science in Year 1
Year One have been learning how to classify different animals in their science unit this term. This learning was brought to life in a ZooLab Workshop that involved some very special visitors coming to the school!
The children met a 7 year old giant land snail and learned that snails have more teeth than any other animal. They then met a Madagascar hissing cockroach and learned that cockroaches can live for a week without their brain. After this, they met another invertebrate, Milly the millipede.
After these three exciting animals, the children then met a tarantula, a frog and lastly Ekans the corn snake who sticks out her tongue to taste the air.
The pupils were grateful to meet all of these animals. Thank you ZooLab!
