Netball Finals

As a result of our fantastic, gold-medal winning performance at the competition in January, the CtS netball team won a place in the Borough Finals on Monday 2nd March.

We arrived early, ready for a good warm up, to discover that one team was not able to attend, which left three teams in the tournament: Little Fielding and St Vincent’s. With a place in the London Youth Games at stake for the winners, the pressure was on!

Top level umpires checked fingernails were safe and jewellery was taken off and the first match was announced: Little Ealing vs CtS. Little Ealing were formidable opponents, with a fast passing style. After battling long and hard, CtS sadly lost 8-2 . After a much needed break whilst St Vincents and Little Ealing played each other, CtS were ready for their second and final match. We played a much more confident game this time with better passing leading to more scoring opportunities, finishing with a 4-2 victory.

CtS finished in second place overall and really enjoyed the competitive high level matches that they played. Well done team!
