Nursery’s Duckling Adventures

Our Nursery children recently enjoyed a truly memorable learning experience as they welcomed a set of duck eggs into the classroom and watched them hatch. Excitement grew as the hatching day approached, and there was great joy when the first ducklings began to emerge.

Through stories, discussions, and observations, the children developed an understanding of how ducklings grow and change from eggs into young birds.Once the ducklings had hatched, the children took an active role in helping to care for them. They learned about the ducklings’ needs, including food, water, warmth, and gentle handling.

Looking after the ducklings encouraged the children to develop a sense of responsibility, kindness, and respect for living things. We are incredibly proud of the care and enthusiasm shown by our Nursery children throughout this special experience, which created lasting memories for everyone involved.
